Understanding Neck Aging

The neck is one of the first areas to reveal the passage of time. Its skin is thinner and has fewer oil glands than the skin of the face, so it loses firmness more quickly. Skin laxity, declining collagen, more visible muscle bands, horizontal lines, sun spots and sometimes fat accumulation under the chin all combine to make the neck look older.

Because these signs have different causes, our approach is combined. Depending on the assessment, we pair firming and resurfacing technologies (XERF, Potenza, LaseMD Ultra, DermaV) for firmness, texture and spots, biostimulators for density, and targeted injectable treatments for muscle bands or a double chin, to restore a firmer, smoother neck in harmony with the face.
